Melksham, Chippenham, Calne, Seend 50km bike ride

We use a Garmin Edge Touring bike GPS, and the GPX files here will work on it nicely! Full review see HERE.

For full Wiltshire route index see HERE

This is a nice bike ride through country lanes via Lacock up to Chippenham, through the town and parks, and then on the old Chippenham-Calne railway that is now more bridleway.  Into Calne, and then  country lanes back towards Bromam to Seend and then back to Melksham.  A few options along the way make this a pretty route with lots of possible variety and coffee stops

  • Distance:  50km
  • Type of route: Quiet road, bit of busy road, and some bridleway.  Full road bikes probably not suitable, hybrid OK
  • Difficulty (excluding distance):  Easy
