Back from Brigton, Photo album live

Well, we're back from Brighton, and just started to play with Google Picasa and got some photos uploaded (see below). Anyway, as mentioned below we've gutted our bathroom. We left our old bathroom suite in the front garden, and someone has knicked the taps off the old bath, AND the entire sink! WTF! They were crap! If they'd asked we'd have given them to them, but why just nick them!! Whats more worrying, is someone (a) saw them; (b) came back with a toolbox to remove them (plumbing was still attached!); and (c) no one saw anything.... Back to work tomorrow :(

Last day in the office today - then a nice long weekend planned in Brighton! Annoyingly, the weather forecast mentioned -4'C tonight. Great! Good weather for camping and beach running....

NEC Outdoors Show

Decided Sunday was a chilling day, so went to the NEC Outdoors Show show thanks to Steve (Roy Wood Transits) giving us a couple of spare tickets. Reminded us of the BT advert where they say "Why do they call it free time"? Free tickets, 200 mile round trip; food; drink; parking; purchasing - lol - so not really a free day out. Good to see it busy, and great to see so many ideas for adventures and activities. Good to see RWT busy as well with their toys. Funny as a lot of the peopel there were outdoor types, but then a fair few look liked they rolled off their sofa to get there - and were waiting for a bus to get back to the carpark rather than walking. Hardly walkers then ;)

Saw a company there we were eyeing up on the web so it was great to see them, and saw loads of rock climbing and some mental women climbing upsidedown from the rafters like bats. Came home knackered - so missed our regular run. That means, tonight, after work, we've got a 10 mile run to do :(

Bathroom gutted!

Well - we've started! Screwfix have delivered a load of new toys ;) A new "professional" tile cutter; auto levelling site laser level; towel radiator and loads of odds and sods; and we've also had the new taps delivered (Internet Bargain of the year). Suite due in 2 weeks.... Mels work kindly taking all the deliveries!

Today was busy, and we've been to Reading to drop off the van; via B&Q; then via screwfix, and starting gutting at 10!

Great teamwork managed to get everything out, plumbing sealed, and some more "max flow" service valves fitted (a 10 min job that took an hour). Then tidying up and via Topps Tiles to collect the tiles all by 4pm!

Mels not 100%, so we're calling it a day, going back to Reading, and then going out for a meal and a big bottle of wine!

Our van supplier kindly gave us some VIP tickets to the Outdoor Leisure Show tomorrow - so we may have a day off work and pop up to the NEC....

What a day. No turning back now!!

Bathroom project

Unfortunately the time has come to refresh our bathroom :(

We were hoping it would survive, but sadly it is naff and we can't put up with it any longer! We seldom use it as we have an en-suite for us, but we do have the odd bath!

Sadly we've noticed some of the tiles are coming loose and there are gaps appearing - and its a case of either fix these, or get more damage.

So this sadly means gutting the entire thing and starting from scratch :( Oh well - at least the weather isn't any good! ETA: mid May...... Watch this space for updates....

Blog area is live!

After much faffing around, I've got our blog area working. No idea what we're going to stick on it, but it is unlikely to be that interesting. Nothing rude I'm afraid :( Hey ho! ;)
