We’re home!  7 weeks of travel and the bath was a nice change!

Home for a short while working on some other projects.

After 4,000 miles of driving, apart from Genova, the M25 near Heathrow is still one of the worst roads in Europe...!

 

Naughty wild camping in Como

May be our last night in Italy before we go North to Switzerland.

We found a really superb place to wild camp – really very naughty – but we’ve been here all day just sitting on the lake with our picnic blanket and appear to have gotten away with it!  Glorious sunshine, great place, and great view!

Earthquake in L'Aquila, Italy

Hi all!

Thanks for the emails from people – but as you can see we’re fine and not in L’Aquila at the moment.  We were there 10 days ago and stayed there for 3 days right in the centre, in a town we liked, had fun in, and found really friendly. 

Early this morning they had a major quake – see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_L%27Aquila_earthquake .  

Current information suggests 90 dead, 1,500 injured and damage to between 3,000-10,000 buildings.

We’re obviously not involved, but gutted for the town that was so kind to us. 

We directed people we met to visit the town only a week ago so don’t know if they made it or were there – fingers crossed.
