Holiday over

Shame L Our holiday is over. We finished off in the Eden Project which was a superb day out, then ventured home thinking of our next adventures!

A lovely and relaxing time – shame it is over.

Summer Sun!

We’ve been lucky with a couple of days of hot sun! Cool air which makes the risk of getting burned quite high!

Had a lovely bike ride to Gweek to see the Seal Sanctuary which was really quite good.

We also went to Goonhilly Earth Station which sounded really interesting. It wasn’t. It was fairly expensive and we stayed 2 hours (including lunch!) – saw everything and learned nothing. It was amateurish and wasn’t worth the fuel getting there let alone the entrance fee.

Today we went to Lizard Point the most southerly place on mainland UK. Lovely walk on the cliff edge, and came back via some lovely villages and coves.

Only a few days left here now L Doesn’t time fly...

Beach Bums or Dudes!

So far the weather hasn’t been too bad for us. We enjoyed Padstow and Rock and a long walk along the dunes and an afternoon nap in the sun!

For our surfing on Watergate Bay the weather was hot and sunny, and the sea was warm. Surfing is cool – we tried to be a dude ‘n’ chick, and we both managed to stand up and ride a wave. For the kite buggying the weather wasn’t as nice but this meant a nice clear beach! We both managed to fly a power kite, and do some beach dragging (Dear Santa: I want a power kite. Thanks). We then did some buggying as the sand was a little soggy so boarding wasn’t possible. I think we’re slightly relieved!

Today the weather is pants – so we’ve moved South to Helston and had an 8 mile run to Porthleven. Settled in for the night J

Lovely time in Cornwall

Having a really nice relaxing time in Cornwall. We were fortunate enough to leave a day early and miss the traffic. Had a lovely 6 mile run which felt like 20 due to the hills! Then a 13 mile bike ride to Tintagel which felt like 130! A few burning muscles after that. Picture below is one of the lovely views from Tintagel. Had a nice dip in the swimming pool yesterday followed by some cold beer.

Today in Padstow and chilling nicely. My microlight lesson delayed due to low cloud L Try again tomorrow.

Fresh fish and chips calling us J

A "Relaxing" Bank Holiday - lol!

Well - a nice weather long weekend. And sadly, both of us had to go into work on Saturday :( We did make up for it. Saturday afternoon, an 8 mile round trip bike ride in to town shopping. Sunday we decided to have a different run. Bad idea, we did a 4 mile run to a swimming pool, an hour swimming, and a 4 mile run back! Very tiring. Then Monday decided to have a quiet day, so took a walk into London and did a lot of sightseeing with at least a 10m walk. Really nice day for it and a picnic.

Back from Brigton, Photo album live

Well, we're back from Brighton, and just started to play with Google Picasa and got some photos uploaded (see below). Anyway, as mentioned below we've gutted our bathroom. We left our old bathroom suite in the front garden, and someone has knicked the taps off the old bath, AND the entire sink! WTF! They were crap! If they'd asked we'd have given them to them, but why just nick them!! Whats more worrying, is someone (a) saw them; (b) came back with a toolbox to remove them (plumbing was still attached!); and (c) no one saw anything.... Back to work tomorrow :(

Last day in the office today - then a nice long weekend planned in Brighton! Annoyingly, the weather forecast mentioned -4'C tonight. Great! Good weather for camping and beach running....
