Absolute Must to See – Immaculate Condition
If
you have enjoyed reading about Ryan and Mel's adventures, perhaps it may give
you some ideas to have your own.
Would you like to drive off on a whim and visit those places you love, or have
only read and dreamt about? We too have followed our dream and enjoyed
travelling around Europe (mostly France) and we are not as young as Ryan and
Mel!
We bought our motorhome from new in 2005 - whilst we were living in France. We
knew we would enjoy using is and wanted to see as much of France as we could
whilst we still lived there, and that it would be very useful when visiting
family and friends in the UK.
As the motorhome was bought in France, it is LHD, so could be sold as French
registered, or we would be quite happy to get the vehicle registered in the UK.
This is no problem – involves speedo reading in mph and kph (done); changing
over 2 rear lamp clusters – physically the same dimensions; and ensuring dipped
lights conform. (We can do this for you if required, at our cost, once
deposit is paid)
We have now returned to live in the UK and our plans have slightly changed. So
our lovely van is now for sale. We have no pets, no young children, we are both
non-smokers and though a 4 birth the van has only ever slept the two of us.
Living Area
The
upholstery has had loose covers/throws since new, so the original upholstery
underneath is very clean.
The van has swivel front seats, creating a lounge/dining area easily seating 5.
There is ample cupboard/wardrobe/storage space. Fitted into one of the cupboards there is a VCR/DVD/digital decoder (multi satellites – incl freeview) and there is flat screen TV storage in the vertical shutter cupboard. All included in the sale.
Kitchen
The
kitchen has a full 4 ring hob, grill and oven, plus extractor fan and lights
over just like a home kitchen. There is also a full height 3-way fridge
and separate freezer. The fridge is equipped with extra fans to allow it
to work efficiently when in warm climates. The fridge/freezer will work on
240vAC (mains hook up), gas, or 12vdc {whilst travelling).
There is also the obligatory kitchen sink with hot and cold water and drainer and lots of storage and cupboards.
Bathroom
The bathroom contains a wash room with shower and washbasin with hot and cold water, with an electric flush cassette toilet
Fixed Bedroom
There is a fixed permanent double bed, and although the living area bench seating will convert to another double bed, we have never used it as such (we have however carried the occasional passenger in belted seats). The living area TV can be rotated to allow watching from bed.
Garage
There is a massive storage area / garage which is accessible from outside and
inside – is located under the fixed double bed.
Other features you need to know.
On
the roof there is an adjustable TV satellite dish and solar panels. These solar
panels charge the leisure battery and the motor battery, which has meant that we
do not need a hook up. We are able to carry 180 litres of fresh water, 120
litres of waste and with 2x13kg gas cylinders the van is suitable for wild
camping away from campsite facilities.
