Our interests are varied, cycle-touring, backpacking and campervanning. And the current small campervan (aka car) is used as a car so we don’t feel bad if it doesn’t do big trips as its not left of the drive doing nothing. We’ve got so much going on at home, we’re probably going to have maximum of 1mth long trips for 2019. I know I know 🙁
As ever, these are ideas, flexible, and not set in stone. Just something to aim for.
2019
- Visit Latvia and/or Estonia (city break? Maybe 2018?)
- Month backpacking around Sri Lanka
- Van to Scotland & Edinburgh Fringe Festival
- Cycle camping Jersey & Guernsey
2020
- Long (6-8w) campervan trip to Slovenia & Croatia
- Cycle camping Switzerland
2021
- Return to Spain/Portugal in campervan
To fit in somewhere sometime (!)
- Mountain bike trip, trails, down hill
- Some winter-sports fun
- Lake District
- Iceland visit (probably fly rather than campervan)
- Lazy package deal beach holiday in Grand Canaria :
Longer term ideas to do, but not yet:-
- Backpacking NZ
- Cycling EuroVelo 6 to the Black See (See HERE )
- 2021 onwards: Design/build another small campervan with internal shower & bike storage…
- Egypt/Turkey
- Back to SE Asia backpacking
- South America backpacking (
Thank you for such an incredible blog, I´m buying a NV 200 and I will follow your ideas step by step. Very helpful all the great details and thanks for sharing. I will use my NV to go surfing around Spain with my 14 year old kid.

Thanks Alex, and good luck! Steal what ideas you can, but do remember everyone is different 🙂 You can get roofracks for the NV for your surfboards. Just put in the basics and enjoy to the max!
