Another year gone….
And have had a couple of people email us for proof of life as no updates here. Well, both here still, and fact is when we started DYD as our diary, internet and blogging was vv new and we had huge interest and following. Now, meh, everyone is on YouTube or InstaTok or whatever and frankly some do it a lot better than me!
Also most of our travels haven’t been “wowzers” so a bit tedious.
2025 saw the sad loss of Mels dad.
But we did get up to a few trips…
- December 2024-Jan 2025: 6 week campervan trip to Spain & Portugal to get some winter sun https://photos.app.goo.gl/rPXfGTrbMB8nVQ7w5
- May/June: 8 week campervan trip to Scandinavia and up and beyond the arctic circle, so Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany – a vvv long drive but very interesting and we learned a lot about recent history we were unaware of https://photos.app.goo.gl/v3nYeWht6uBRZYuR7
- August: 2 weeks on the motorbike camping in Ireland riding a few thousand miles on the Wild Atlantic Way https://photos.app.goo.gl/MrHtMSFv6mLoswo68
And a few smaller UK trips, usual house DIY and projects and various other bits n bobs. And of course, getting older and unfitter – something to address in 2026!
We also probably drank a few too many beers
