Melksham, Sells Green, Seend 16km mountain bike

We use a Garmin Edge Touring bike GPS, and the GPX files here will work on it nicely! Full review see HERE.

For full Wiltshire route index see HERE

This route was a short test to see how accessible the bridleways are E/NE of Melksham between Bath Road and Sandridge.  And the answer is, they are there and challenging – so good fun after a heavy night of rain. Full MTB needed (Hardtail fine) and wide tyres – we were over pedal deep in water and mud – so challenging, but, totally rideable!  In winter you will get very muddy!  Some bridleways here are unsigned (naughty locals) but were checked on the rights-of-way bridleway map so totally legal.  Knowing these are OK, we’ll expand the routes further later on.  The routes are a bit of canal, across fields (grassy),farm tracks, bridleways, single-track and a small amount of road – nothing too busy

You can download the GPX route from the Download link under the map.
